5 Trailers from this month that will get you excited about the movies

October 2016 may not have had any great Bollywood releases, at least so far, but cinephiles shouldn’t really crib.

After all, the lack of good films has been compensated by some impressive movie trailers that have given us a small taste of what’s to come at the cinemas soon.

And honestly, these first looks are so tantalizing that we can’t wait for these films to hit the theaters in the coming months.

Here are our favorite five teasers of the month that have made us extremely excited about the movies…

Dangal

Honestly, who doesn’t look forward to a film starring Aamir Khan? And when the trailer of the film is cut so fantastically it’s simply impossible to contain your excitement levels to see the final product on the big screen.

The three and half minute long promo of Aamir Khan’s forthcoming biopic is undoubtedly one of the best teasers to come out of Bollywood in recent times. Not only does it immediately engages you with its content but also motivates you to chase your dreams.

Right from capturing the essence of the film to some hard-hitting dialogues that challenge the traditional gender roles — Dangal trailer leaves you wanting for more and more.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Dangal chronicles the journey of Mahveer Singh Phogat and his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Phogat through the world of wrestling and how they realize their dreams by overcoming societal pressure and conventional beliefs.

The film is due in theaters on December 23, so get ready for some Dangal.

Dear Zindagi

If Aamir Khan blew your mind with his action punches in his film’s promo, Shah Rukh Khan knocks you out with his witty punches in the trailer of his forthcoming slice-of-life film — Dear Zindagi.

The makers have released two teasers so far, and both are tugging at our heartstrings with their simplicity and warmth.

The short clips give us a glimpse into the easy-breezy equation between Kaira (Alia Bhatt) and Jag (SRK) and their fun, light-hearted conversation, without revealing anything about the plot of the film.

Coming from the stables of Gauri Shinde who has earlier given us the masterpiece — English Vinglish, the Dear Zindagi take 1 & 2 are making us eagerly wait for the release of the film.

And while the wait is still very long, we might as well satiate our greedy selves by watching the trailer over and over again, because it is simply so awesome.

Force 2

A trailer which begins it’s very first frame with a message that reads — “Dedicated to the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country and yet remained unnamed & unrecognized,” is bound to make the patriotic at heart to look forward to the film.

While the film is a tribute to the martyrs, the promo of Force 2 is also packed with a witty exchange of dialogues between John Abraham and Bollywood’s newly acquired action queen — Sonakshi Sinha, high-octane action sequences, and a sneak peek into the gritty plot that makes you curious about the film.

Directed by Abhniay Deo, Force 2 is coming out on November 18. We are already counting the days for the action to begin.

Kahaani 2

The Kahaani team is back with some more suspense and drama with their second serving — Kahaani 2.

Powerful, thrilling, gritty — the promo of Kahaani 2 gets you hooked on from the very first scene as it begins to unfold a series of incidents from the film before you.

The trailer opens with Vidya's character — Durga Rani Singh receiving a phone call, wherein she is informed that her child Mimmi has been kidnapped. In the very next scene, we are shown that Vidya meets with an accident and goes into a coma. And just when you are sympathizing with her, the promo shocks you by revealing yet another fact about her.

Well, if a trailer can make you curious as hell, imagine what power the film will have on you. We just can’t wait to resolve this mystery onscreen on December 2.

Kahaani 2

Kaabil

After watching the trailer of Kaabil, we can safely say that the Greek God of Bollywood — Hrithik Roshan is back to regain his throne.

The two-minute long trailer of this revenge drama introduces us to the visually impaired lovers Rohan Bhatnagar (Hrithik Roshan) and Su (Yami Gautam), who have brightened their lives with love. Yeah, the trailer has all the trappings of a love saga, however, while romance is a part of the film the promo quickly reveals that there is a lot more to the film than amorous textures.

The trailer captures Hrithik in his best elements and holds many promises. Kaabil looks like a sure shot winner and we can’t wait to watch it, all thanks to this engaging teaser.
