2013 was an year worth remembering for many reasons and many people.

Let’s take a look at some names that churned out the biggest of news throughout the year…

Shah Rukh Khan

The man managed to remain in news throughout the year.

Be it for the sudden announcement of his third child, AbRam, through sex detection controversies attached with it or for that matter for his ‘national importance generating’ hug with his friend turned foe Salman Khan.

That was not all for the King Khan.

The man also walked away with laurels and of course lotsa moolah with the unmatchable success of his production Chennai Express.

A newsmaker in true sense!

Ranbir Kapoor-Katrina Kaif

It’s rightly said that pictures speak louder than words.

And the pictures of Ranbir-Katrina’s secret holiday in the exotic lands of Ibizza were shouting of their secret love affair.

Ranbir and Katrina have been going hush hush about their link-up, however the pictures of Katrina’s bikini outing, their hand-in-hand appearances at parties and movie screenings kept them in the news all through the year.

Deepika Padukone

If there’s one actress, who can be duly called the newsmaker in 2013, she has to be Deepika Padukone.

The heroine no.1 of Bollywood, Deepika created history by giving 5 back to back block buster hits in 2013 including Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Chennai Express and Ram-Leela.

Even her love life, which was high-lighted with her alleged link-up with Ranveer Singh kept Deepika in headlines in the last part of the year.

Sanjay Dutt

The latest buzz says that Sussanne has demanded a settlement worth Rs100 crore, though she denies the same.

Jiah Khan

The beautiful young actress shocked the entire country when one fine day she decided to commit suicide in her suburban flat.

However, later on the scheme of things hinted that it wasn’t a murder but Jiah was murdered.

The prime suspect in Jiah Khan’s case is actor Aditya Panscholi’s son, Suraj Panscholi.

Amitabh Bachchan

His young contemporaries might be taking an early plunge, but mega star Amitabh Bachchan took quite some while in making his big Bollywood debut.

But as they say, better late than never.

The actor made a small but impressive appearance in Baz Luhrman’s The Great Gatsby along with Hollywood hotshots like Leonardi DiCaprio and Tobey Maguire.

Another stir that Big created was when the actor was snapped on a flight with none other than Rekha.

Priyanka Chopra

After ruling Bollywood, Priyanka aspired to follow her passion and write her name on the world map with her music.

The lady won many hearts with the two musical singles ‘In My City’ and ‘Exotic’ that she launched this year with Will I Am and PitBull.
