We need more films on social awareness: Telugu director

Chennai, Nov 17 (IANS) Telugu director C.S.R. Krishnan, who is awaiting the release of upcoming comedy-thriller "Bakara", feels there's a need for films that can make audience socially conscious.


"Most of the times, films are a reflection of the society we live in. But, sadly we resort to showing only what is entertaining and crowd-appealing, and refrain from showing reality. We need more films that will make us socially responsible," Krishnan told IANS.


Krishnan's "Bakara", a satirical take on how people are conned in our society on a daily basis, stars Sri Hari, Yashika, Brahmanandam, M.S. Narayana, Raghu Babu, Duvvasi Mohan and Kallu Krishna Rao.
