Jun 29, 2016 Shweta Kulkarni

IIFA 2016, recently rolled out the green carpet for its three-day festivities, and trust us, there was no shortage of glamour.

From chic ball gowns, androgynous looks, to frills and laces… Bollywood divas tried their hands at just about everything as they took over the capital city of Madrid in their fineries.

Let’s take a look at some of these stunning divas who made our hearts aflutter with their style quotient.

Shilpa Shetty

Shilpa Shetty worked her magic as she showed off her well-sculpted figure in a white Shantanu and Nikhil custom gown. Believe us, seduction has never been this lethal.

Sonakshi Sinha

Is there anything as lovely as a twirl-worthy organza dress? The answer is a resounding no, especially as worn by the gorgeous Sonakshi Sinha. Sona looked like a princess in an Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla tea length dress, which was adorned with pearls, abla mirror, sequins, and Swarovski crystals.

Athiya Shetty

Dressed in a mesmerising pink Rami Kadi gown with intricate floral detailing, newcomer Athiya Shetty looked ethereal and brought some serious slay to the IIFA green carpet.

Nargis Fakhri

Nargis Fakhri looked stunning in a cold-shoulder Namrata Joshipura dress with its daring décolletage. Nargis even rocked the androgynous look on day one, looking all sophisticated and stylish in a Monisha Jaisingh light blue suit with a plunging neckline.

Aditi Rao Haidari

Aditi Rao Haidari shone like an emerald on the green carpet in her Shantanu and Nikhil deep green gown. She finished the look with a jewelled headband and chandelier earrings and looked nothing less than a princess, who is all set for her ball.

Sayani Gupta

Upcoming actress Sayani Gupta killed it with her sizzling hot asymmetric pearl embroidered Gaurav Gupta gown.

Neha Dhupia

It was an all-white order for our Sardarni, who made the breezy look of her H&M dress seem absolutely effortless. Even on day one, Neha Dhupia brought some sunshine in a pristine white Marks & Spencer jumpsuit, which she paired with a yellow Payal Khadwala jacket. We like it that she didn’t go for the usual.

Bipasha Basu

The Basu gal sprinkled some desi magic on the green carpet as she gracefully glided on the green carpet in a delicate Sabyasachi Sari with her husband — Karan Singh Grover in tow.

Freida Pinto

Our international desi star Freida Pinto was a sight to behold as she debuted on IIFA’s green carpet in a resplendent Elie Saab gown.

Deepika Padukone

If there is one celeb who can never go wrong on the green/red carpet, it is the gorgeous Deepika Padukone. So whether it was the custom-made black plunging neckline Swapnil Shinde gown, which she wore on day one, or the beautiful caped Sabyasachi outfit — Deepika looked regal as hell on IIFA green carpet. If that’s not how you bring the traffic on a green carpet to halt, we are not sure how to do it. Slay on, lady.
