Jawan of Vellimala Malayalam Movie

Directed by debutant Anoop Kannan, the plot of Jawan of Vellimala revolves around Vellimala Dam. Mamootty plays the role of Gopikrishnan, an ex-military, who has dedicated his life to look after the dam. Koshy Ommen (Asif Ali) comes to Vellimala to find a way out to the monetary problems created by his father, who undertook the contract connected with the dam project. The death of his father made him bankrupt and he wanted to get his money back. But the payment of the Bill was being withheld by Varghese (Sreenivasan), a candid and honest Engineer, alleging irregularities in the project. Hence Koshy Ommen has to stay back at the dam site as it was a difficult task to get the bill passed by Varghese, who cannot be easily convinced or tempted.

Mamta Mohandas does the female lead in the movie. The movie is produced by Mammootty under his own banner Playhouse.
