Circle Inspector Yousaf Marakkar (Fahadh Fazil) is working with Bangalore police department. He leads a good family life with his wife Raziya (Abhinaya).

A major tragedy occurs in a hospital and CI Yousaf Marrakkar is in charge of the investigation. How Yousaf unwinds the events and winds up the case plots the story of ‘1 by Two’.

Ace director Shyamaprasad does the role of psychiatrist Dr Cherian and Honey Rose plays Dr Prema in this movie. Murali Gopi is seen as Dr Hari. This is for the first time Fahadh Fazil does the role of a cop.

‘1 by Two’ is a psychological thriller movie directed by Arunkumar Arvind and penned by Jayamohan. Gopi Sunder tunes music for the lyrics of Rafeeq Ahmed and Jomon Thomas wields the camera. ‘1 by Two’ is produced by Rakesh Bahuleyan.

I wouldn't really blame the viewer for feeling stranded while watching Arun Kumar Aravind's '1 by Two'. What starts off as a psychological thriller with immense potential winds itself up in loops and loops of complexities until it becomes almost impossible to untangle itself from the knots that threaten to strangle the very last bit of thrill out of it.
