Mantra (Charmi) is a software engineer who comes to Hyderabad to take up a job in an IT company. She is born an orphan and has no one there. A driver (Uttej) introduces her to a old couple (Tanikella Bharani and Delhi Rajeswari) to live with them as a paying guest. However once in the house, Matra finds some one trying to eliminate her. She approaches her college friend, Vijay (Chethan), a Police officer for help and finds she is living in a haunted house. Rest had to be seen on big screen.

Charmi is always a good actress and she had proven it once again. She did an excellent job particularly with the emotions and expressions. Chethan is good as Police officer. Rahul Dev scored good as a villain. Tanikella Bharani, Uttej and others have performed well in the roles they are offered.

Debut director SV Sateesh is the culprit behind Mantra-2 debacle. Mantra is an effective horror thriller but this new installment in the series totally led down the franchise name. There is no horror moments or thrills which keep the audience engrossed. He even failed to use his actors to the fullest. The movie has got a good interval but things totally gets derailed in the second half. The climax is again a big disappointment.

Sunil Kashyap's music is just okay and BGM work is not effective to elevate the horror thriller. Camera work is good. Editing is a let off in the second half. Production Values are okay.

Finally, Mantra-2 is a big disappointment to Mantra franchise fans. The movie failed to deliver anything which is expected of it. Give it a miss!
