An unwelcome stranger comes knocking at night, enters your life and tries exiting it leaving you in bits and pieces. The life is distraught, keeping you at his feet, begging for that hope for mercy.

Hi, I'm Tony is a psychedelic thriller which aimed at crafting a fine charm in the genre very less explored but was left behind by quite some notches. The movie starts with a newly eloped-wed couple (Asif and Miya) trying to settle in but the unwelcome guest enters to be a spoilsport. With a disgruntled life that left him run amok in the vast expanses of delirium, Lal plays a psychotic killer who is the antagonist in the game.

Hi, I'm Tony is all about Tony and how he unleashes his reckless wrath on Sameer and Tina. The movie is all about twists but you can expect the turns. Often regarded as the Samuel L Jackson of Malayalam Cinema, Lal's acting was of great exuberance and temper, but took us for a ride towards the end of the movie. The first half worked out remarkably well but the second half slowly becomes dramatically boring. Asif and Miya have done justice to their roles while Lal steals the show, his impeccable prowess set lame due to lack of punch in the script.

While pops tried working out wonders in front of the screen, son did do pretty well behind the scenes. Except for the storyline which lacked punch and seemed dangling at places, Lal Jr., the young director has made a few class moments in the movie. But still the impact that it lays on the viewer is somewhat meek.
