Raja Ram (Sharwanand) is an aspiring athlete and the son of a single mother. In one of his matches, Raja Ram finds a burkha clad girl, Nazeera (Nitya Menen). He instantly falls for her attractive eyes. He chases her and finds her whereabouts. Finally both of them fall for each other. However it was then a sudden turn takes place in their story and they gets separated. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju has a novel concept which deals with the lives after breakup. The director showcased the delicacy as well the maturity in the relationships very beautifully. Sharwanand carried off the role excellently with subtle emotions especially in the second half. Particularly the scene with his mother are heart touching.

Nity

a Menen once again proved that she is miles ahead of many of the contemporary heroines. He played both the roles - College girl and a mother seamlessly. The actress who played Sharwa's mother deserves a special mention. Tejaswi is good in the supporting role.

Kranthi Madhav who delivered a heart touching film like Onamalu in the past once again nailed it. The dialogues are heart touching and the music is soothing.Camerawork is excellent and the locales of Vizag are captured very realistically. some more good work in the editing should have made the film more racy.
