Njan Malayalam Movie

Ranjith’s ‘Njan’ is based on T P Rajeevan’s novel “K T N Kottoor – Ezhuthum Jeevithavum”. The movie stars Dulquer Salman in the lead role.

The concept of ‘Njan’ is very simple, at the same time complicated. The term ‘Njan’ is quite commonly used in our conversations and writing. Kottoor was not able to express or reveal himself to the world.

Thoughts rather disquietude about identity is being addressed only through group or social movements and it is not possible though individual efforts.

Though he had his own socio political perceptions, Kottoor never belonged to the league of P Kunjiraman Nair, Changampuzha, EMS and others.

‘Njan’ attempts to sketch Kottoor’s personal life and social life as well. Set in the epic canvas of India’s freedom struggle the movie narrates the magical history of a Kerala village and plots Kottoor’s life and times.

Saiju Kurup, Suresh Krishna, Harish Perady, Anumol, Jyothikrishna, Sruthi Ramachandran, and Irshad also include the cast. The cinematography is by Manoj Pillai. ‘Njan’ is produced by Ranjith himself under his production firm Gold Coin Motion Pictures.
