Maya is a novel subject to Telugu audience. The director managed to keep it interesting and racing towards the end despite the initial lag. It can be easily a one time watch over this weekend provided you are not looking for some routine pot boilers with commercial elements.

Meghna(Avantika) is a gifted girl with Extra Sensory Perception through which she foresees some deaths much in advance. In her childhood, he even foresees her mother's death. Later she grows up in to a TV correspondent and gets to work with famous Fashion designer, Siddharth Varma (Harsha Vardhan Rane)on an assignment. Slowly she starts developing a liking on him. It was then her childhood friend, Pooja (Sushma Raj) and new ESP forecast disturbs her very much. What is it? and how it changes their lives? are to be seen in the film.

Coming to performances, Harsha Vardhan Rane plays a fashion designer who have a sad past. He emoted the emotions well as a jovial guy as well as a lost man. Avanthika plays the major role in the film and she just managed to do justice to the role. However there is an ample scope of improvement in her expressions and lip sync. Sushma Raj is the show stealer. She portray the role brilliantly with precision in both the shades. Finally there is Nandita Rai who appears in a very little cameo. There are other characters as well like Comedian Venu, Naga Babu, Jhansi, Anitha Chowdary and they are good enough.

Neelakanta has covered few of his previous mistakes very well and faltered in cover few of them. Firstly he should be commended by trying a different subject like Extra Sensory Perception. He got the thriller moving well keeping in tact the suspense till the last minute. But his old mistakes of taking too much time in introduction of character and story, unnecessary addition of commercial elements like songs have remained intact and they ended up as the only mistakes of the film.

Sekhar Chandra have given good album for the movie but all of them act as speed breakers and kill the effect of a good thriller. Balreddy's cinematography is decent. Editing should have been a lot better in the second half. Production Values are decent.
