Ice Cream is a horror thriller which will not scare except for a handful of moments. Those very few moments does not help the movie to be a successful thriller or bring Ram Gopal Varma the much needed success. It is not even enough for you to consider watching this film at least on a DVD!

Renu's (Tejaswi Madiwada) parents go to a wedding leaving her behind in a villa. Renu got to horror movie and get back to the villa with her boy friend, Vishal(Navadeep). The later is a cool guy who always through pranks on Renu and scares her. He narrates a horror story about the villa told by the previous tenants. As they are in the villa, Renu starts sensing some paranormal activity there. Vishal initially do not believes Renu's words but later starts feeling it himself. What happens to the couple that night? and how they fight out forms the remaining story.

Navadeep gets a role which is blended with comedy and carelessness like most roles he did so far. He performed well even in the scary sequences. Tejaswi Madiwada is playing a heroine for the first time. She is decent performance wise but have to work a lot on her expressions. Rest of the characters are so little and trivial to mention.

Coming to Ram Gopal Varma's part, the ace director continues to suffer the 'care-free' attitude which is bringing lot of shame. To begin with, the title is just for hype and has no relation to the film. Also RGV stumbled in a novel story or giving the film a gripping narration which is very much required to bind audience to a thriller.

The much hyped Flow Cam does not have any significant changes in the camera work. Seshu MR's music stands out even in the dead drop failure of Ram Gopal Varma. The sound design enhanced the effect of several scenes. Editing is one more major glitch in the film.

Finally, Ice Cream is a horror thriller which will not scare except for a handful of moments. Those very few moments does not help the movie to be a successful thriller or bring Ram Gopal Varma the much needed success. It is not even enough for you to consider watching this film at least on a DVD!
