Jil is planned to be a stylish commercial entertainer. The style part is top notch but the story drags on predictable lines with second half totally going haywire with slow paced narration with complete absence of the right kind of emotions, romance, thrills and comedy to make it gripping. Not a film that can not be missed!

Jil is the story of a honest Fire Officer, Jai (Gopichand) who is a perfect custodian of riles for the safety of his area. On one occasion he saves Ranganath (Brahmaji) who gets severely hurt in a fire accident at a hotel. Chota Nayak, the baddie of the film stars doubting Jai regarding a secret which may be revealed to him as he talks to Ranganath in the final moments of his life. And then there is Savitri (Raashi Khanna) for whom Gopichand falls instantly. Chota Nayak targets every one belonging to Jai and finally kidnaps Savitri for the secret of Ranganath. Will Jai save Savitri from Chota Nayak? Why does Chota Nayak attack Jai? How Jai takes his revenge? forms the rest of the film.

Gopichand sports an all different look in the movie. He completely set aside his mass avatar and sports an urbane look for the film. He also performed convincingly in the film. Raashi Khanna shows the other side of her with a fit and sexy beautiful presence in songs but her role has no scope further. The new guy who played the role of baddie is very impressive in his looks but again his characterization is weak. Chalapathi Rao, Bharath, Srinivas Avasarala and rest of the cast are decent. Prabhas Seenu, Uravasi and Posani Krishna Murali tried to bring in some laughs but do not serve the purpose.

Debutant Radha Krishna had come up with a wafer thin story for his first movie. And added to that he embedded the film with incidents that are far from convincing which makes the film highly predictable. He tried to add few sequences for thrill and comedy which also backfired.

cinematography by Sakthi Saravanan is splendid. He captured some beautiful locales of Australia, New Zealand and Hyderabad. Editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao could have been much better sharp. Music by Ghibran is entertaining and foot tapping enough but does not fit in to the film. Fight Choreography is okay. And the production values of UV Creations are just at the top.

Finally Jil is planned to be a stylish commercial entertainer. The style part is top notch but the story drags on predictable lines with second half totally going haywire with slow paced narration with complete absence of the right kind of emotions, romance, thrills and comedy to make it gripping. Not a film that can not be missed!
