The major plus of Surya Vs Surya is its novel concept. However the concept itself became a drawback in the second half of the film which bores the audience to some extent. It is an average fare which will go well with the intended Multiplex audience. We will have to see how it ends!

Surya Vs Surya is the story of a young guy, Surya (Nikhil) who suffers from a rare disease which puts his life at risk when exposed to sun light. So Surya become a night King and sleeps or stay indoors in the mornings. Surya falls in love with a girl and with this rare disease, he only can woo her in nights. What happens next in his story forms the rest of the film.

Nikhil used to select mass films and loud characters during his bad phase which were never his strengths. He rightly identified the flaws and is opting subtle characters and different subjects. His body language and acting suits to such characters as he walks through them effortlessly. He is good in generating comedy and is decent in the sole emotional scene of the movie.

The new comer Tridha Chowdary is good looking but failed to make an impression with her acting skills. Tanikella Bharani and Satya were seen as hero's friends. Tanikella Bharani slightly went overboard in few scenes but is good. Madhubala also makes an impact and others like Tagubothu Ramesh, Mast Ali, Shayaji Shinde etc are okay.

Debutant director Karthik has done a decent job. He had choosen an interesting concept and executed it very well with stuffing enough comedy. But he lost the track in dealing the love story which makes you feel bore at times. Also the emotional scenes were not handled well enough. The second half bores you with slow pace.

Camerawork is adequate and editing is fine. Satya Mahaveer's music is decent. All the songs are well shot. Back Ground score becomes an asset for the movie.

The major plus of Surya Vs Surya is its novel concept. However the concept itself became a drawback in the second half of the film which bores the audience to some extent. It is an average fare which will go well with the intended Multiplex audience. We will have to see how it ends!
