Dharmateja (Nara Rohit) is a very strict jailor of Rajahmundry Central Jail. Dharma's attitude and sincerity separates him from the pack and is deemed as arrogant by even his superior. One fine day, Chandrasekhar alias Charlie (Ravi Varma) comes to the jail. Charlie is sentenced to death for the brutal massacre of his step mom's family. Charlie strikes a deal of 50 diamonds with other prisoners to escape him from jail. Needless to say Dharma stays in his way. What happens in this war is the rest of the story.

Nara Rohit seem to effortlessly walking through these kind of serious roles. His deep baritone is an added advantage to him. However the alarm bells are ringing very loud regarding the extra kilos he put on. He is totally out of shape. Priya Banerjee is just okay. However the romantic track between them is very poorly conceived. Ravi Varma has excellent screen presence as baddie. Vennela Rama Rao as constable Madhava and Bhanu Avirneni of Anil Bhanu design as the hangman are impressive. Rest of them are okay to the demand of their characters.

Debutant Krishna Vijay should be appreciated for the knack of engaging storytelling. He seem to have made good research on prisons, prisoners and death sentences. The taking, secreenplay were all very impressive and honest for a first timer. He also managed to keep the surprise quotient always in tact through out the film.

Sai Karthik's songs are good enough but they often disrupt the flow of the film. Back ground score at some place is too loud. The dialogues and the poetic voiceover add more depth and intensity. Camerawork is excellent with good experimentation in lighting. Editing is fine. The short run time of 2 hours is an asset to the film. The interval bang and the twists in the climax just took the film to another level.
