Vasoottan (Kunchacko Boban) is an autorickshaw driver in the village of Vadakkancherry. He is very good at heart that he always wishes his villagers to be happy and contented. He helps all in whatever way he can.

But at the same time he is an impetuous person. Though most of the villagers love him he has some enemies too. P K Sabu (Suraj Venjarammoodu) is Vasoottan’s close friend.

Once a girl named Parvathy (new face Gayatri Suresh), an MBA student, gets into Vasoottan’s autorickshaw. She comes with a purpose to that village. When Vasoottan too gets involved in her intentions, matters become more complex.

The resulting events are plotted in a humorous way in ‘Jamnapyari’ directed by Thomas Sebastian.

Joy Mathew, Renji Panicker, Maniyanpilla Raju, Neeraj Madhav, Vijay Kumar, Sudheer Karamana, Vijayan Karanthoor, and Muthumani are the other important actors in ‘Jamnapyari’.
