Neerja is a 2016 Indian movie directed by Ram Madhvani starring Sonam Kapoor, Shabana Azmi, Shekhar Ravjiani and Yogendra Tikku. The feature film is produced by Atul Kasbekar and the music composed by Vishal Khurana.
PLOT:

The film revolves around the factual hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi, Pakistan specifically focusing on flight attendant Neerja Bhanot. This film shows how the young flight attendant fought for the lives of her passengers.

The film might be about the late Neerja Bhanot, but the strongest cinematic bits are those involving Neerja’s family.Neerja is ultimately a family’s film. Go for it if you are in the mood for a good cry.

Neerja is a fairly competent recycling of real events, given an additional interest for trying to show audience that Sonam Kapoor can act. Director Ram did a good job by injecting fear and thrill into a well known story. Costumes and set almost matched 1986 and technical side did their part. The terrorists were unpredictable and brutal, Jim sarbh's khaleel was the best. If you are aware of the real story that inspired this film, you may not feel the thrill. But still it manages a smooth landing
