Two Countries Synopsis


‘Two Countries’ written by Rafi and directed by Shafi is a beautiful love story set in the backdrop of Canada. The movie is about India and Canada – the culture, language, and diversities in these two countries.


The movie revolves around Ullas (Dileep) who is from a middle class family in Kerala. He along with his friends was a nuisance in his village that there comes a situation when he can no longer stay at his place.


He moves to Canada with Laya (Mamta Mohandas) who follows Canadian customs and language which Ullas finds difficult to digest.


The resulting humorous incidents in the life of Ullas and Laya form the plot of ‘Two Countries’.


Aju Varghese, Mukesh, Isha Talwar, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Jagadish, Lena, Vijayaraghavan, Asokan, Rafi, Salim Kumar, Sajitha Beti, Shobha Mohan, and Kalyani also do important roles.


Gopi Sunder composes music for the lines by Harinarayanan and Nadirsha. The cinematography is done by Santhana Krishnan.
