Kaadu Pookkunna Neram Synopsis

‘Kadu Pookkunna Neram’ is made on the background of the fact that the India Government has arrested many activists who dare to speak against the fascist and undemocratic activities of the Government. The movie is about the clash between agents of authority and those oppressed in the name of law and security.

A special battalion of police is deployed by the government to do away with Maoist menace in a tribal village adjacent to the forest. A policeman follows a person and nabs the person. The person arrested happens to be a woman. He tries to come out of the forest with the arrested person, but he loses his way in the wild. Although the woman knows the path to get out of the forest, she is not willing to show him the way. Thus, both the hunter and the hunted are stranded in the thick forest. The wilderness and solitude of the forest mentally upset them. Power, Criminal, Man, Woman, the Hunter, the Hunted... all such equations change utterly and are no more what they used to be.

The movie written and directed by Dr Biju features Indrajith and Rima Kallingal in the lead roles. Prakash Bare, Indrans, Irshad, Krishnan Balakrishnan, Gopan Karunagapally, and Jayachandran Kadambanad do significant roles.

‘Kadu Pookkunna Neram’ is produced by Sophia Paul under the banner of Weekend Blockbusters. The cinematographer of the film is M J Radhakrishnan.
