Dhruva (Ram Charan) is a passionate IPS officer who is always enthusiastic about doing something good for the country. Dhruva believes that it is always effective going after the big fish than running around the small crimes. All such crimes lead to Siddharth Abimanyu (Arvind Swamy), the headman of organized crimes. And from then, he fixes him as his enemy and the rest forms an engaging battle between the hero and the villain.

Ram Charan has put up so much of hard work in the film in every department and it is evident everywhere. His well-chieseled body is a sensation and his performance levels in the film have shown tremendous maturity. He is particularly exceptional in the confrontational scenes. Arvind Swamy is as good as in the Original. His performance elevates the film completely and pushes Ram Charan to give his best. Hema Chandra's dubbing came as an asset to the role.

But then Arvind Swamy's role was intentionally toned down to elevate Ram Charan. Rakul Preet Singh is gorgeous but is only confined to songs. Navdeep and other supporting cast suit their roles completely.

It is often very difficult to execute the remake of a very successful film. The director either messes it up totally or just copy paste things from there to here. But then Surender Reddy handled it well and also is able to leave his mark. The mind games that are showcased throughout are nicely handled by Surender Reddy and engage the audience completely. Interval bang and the way certain twists are revealed is pretty good. On the negative side, the screenplay gets slow in the second half and there are some unnecessary scenes hindering the flow of the film.

Music by Hip Hop Thamiza is impressive but his background score takes the movie to the next level. Editing is decent but a few scenes in the second half could have been deleted to make the film, even more, crispier. The Cinematography is exceptional while Geetha Arts' Production Values added more value to the film.

Finally, Dhruva is a well-made action entertainer. Ram Charan's standout performance engaging narration, interesting twists and some superb mind games are huge assets, even though there are some minor glitches here and there. Try it!
