Premam is a decent product and will go very well with those who have not watched the Original. But then given the acceptance the original has got, getting to that far is also a commendable job.

Premam is the combination of three love stories of Vikram (Naga Chaitanya) in three different phases of his life - school, college and post-college spanning over two decades. Rest of the story is about his love experiences he faces in life and what happens finally in the end.

Premam has three different shaded characters for Naga Chaitanya and he delivers a decent performance as the roles suits to his strength. But then when it is the time to bring in some variations in the characters, he struggled. Anupama Parameshwaran, Shruti Hassan and Madonna Sebastian are seen as the female leads and Shruti Hassan takes the center stage. But then she only came up with an okay performance. Anupama and Madonna were seen in the roles they appeared in the Original and are good. Praveen and Chaitanya Krishna are seen as hero's friends. Praveen gets a meaty role while Chaitanya Krishna is wasted. Prudhvi is okay in a single scene. The cameo roles of Venkatesh and Nagarjuna are big assets for the film.

Chandoo Mondeti has done a decent job with the remake project. He particularly did well with Shruti Hassan's track in the film which runs almost for two-thirds of the film. But then the last track of the film is executed in a hurry and lacks the needed emotion. The director has made good changes to the Original film but then the changes do not fully justify the Original.

Gopi Sunder and Rajesh Murugesan worked for the film's music reusing some of the tracks from the Original. Even the background score is also reused in some parts. The cinematography is good here and there while the dialogues are decent. Editing should have been better and production values are good.

Finally, Premam is a decent product and will go very well with those who have not watched the Original. But then given the acceptance the original has got, getting to that far is also a commendable job.
