Ezra Synopsis

‘Ezra’ is a Jewish word meaning “Help”. The story is based on a Jewish myth and their religious practices and culture form part of the film. The story is set in Fort Kochi and the film has been shot mostly in Fort Kochi and partly in Mumbai.

“Abraham Ezra’s spirit dislocated from his body in 1941 AD,” opens the trailer of ‘Ezra’. Prithviraj plays Ranjan Mathew and Tamil actor Priya Anand plays his wife, Priya Raghuram. Ranjan works in a shipping company and is transferred to Kochi from Mumbai. He settles in the city with his wife in a bungalow. A string of creepy events that unwinds forms the crux of ‘Ezra’.

Tovino Thomas plays Assistant Commissioner Shafeer Ahmed. The movie also features Vijayaraghavan, Prathap Pothen, Babu Antony, Sujith Sankar, and Sudev Nair.

‘Ezra’ is ad filmmaker Jay K’s debut directorial venture. The cinematography is by Sujith Vaassudev and editing by Vivek Harshan. The music is by Rahul Raj and the background score by Sushin Shyam. The film has been produced by Mukesh R Mehta, C V Sarathy, and A V Anoop under the banners of E 4 Entertainment and AVA Productions.
