Kolumittayi Synopsis

Unnikrishnan is studying in 6th standard. He has three friends – Lalu, Varkey, and Abu. Unnikrishnan is their leader. ‘Kolumittayi’ is the story of these friends.

National award winner Master Gaurav Menon, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ fame Baby Meenakshy, and new face Master Knife play the main roles in ‘Kolumittayi’.

Unnikrishnan earnestly wish to have a cycle and tries hard to get one. Meanwhile, a painting competition is going to take place in the school. Unnikrishnan, though does not know anything about painting, gives his name for the competition.

He seeks the help of his friend Riya, but this creates many issues in the school. The resulting interesting incidents that happen in his life and school form the rest of the plot of ‘Kolumittayi’.

The movie narrates the innocence of these children, their life and thoughts in the backdrop of a beautiful village in the 1980s.

‘Kolumittayi’ is the debut directorial venture of Arun Viswam. Saiju Kurup, Kalabhavan Prajod, Dinesh Prabhakar, Dr Rony, Bineesh Bastin, Sohan Seenulal, Gokulan, Devi Ajith, Krishnaprabha, Priyanka play the other major roles.

Santhosh Anima is the cinematographer. ‘Kolumittayi’ is produced by Abhijith Asokan under the banner of Crayons Pictures. The script and dialogues are written by Arun Viswam and Abhijith Asokan.
