Police Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2016 | U | Dubbing
Critics:
Police is an average fare. The love track is very lengthy and disturbs the proceedings. The good things when Vijay is seen as a DCP gets completed in a flash. Minor changes in the film would have worked out well.

Joseph Kuruvilla (Vijay) lives in Kerala running a bakery along with his daughter Nivi (Nainika). He is seen as a person who always keeps away from petty issues and lives as if his daughter is every thing. However a little accident to his daughter, entangles them in a Police case. Nivi's school teacher Annie (Amy Jackson) digs out his past in which he is none other than DCP Vijay Kumar of Hyderabad. What is the reason for Vijay's reclusive life has to be seen on screen.

Vijay is very handsome and performed really well in a character with three different variations. Yesteryear actress Meena's daughter Nainika looked so cute and adorable. Amy Jackson as a School Teacher gets a little role and even do not make an impression even looks wise. Samantha is very glamorous and cute. Director Mahendran is seen as a villain and he is very good in hit acting debut. Radhika and Prabhu were impressive in their respective roles. Rajendran managed to bring in few laughs at places.

Atlee got the lucky chance to direct a big star like Vijay in his second film. He tried to get in to the shoes of Vijay's image. The story is a wafer thin one and is predictable from start to end. Predictable story, Tamil flavour and too many emotions along with songs come as speed breakers. The proceedings start slow and things pick pace once Joseph's true idenitity is revealed. However the second half again is not handled well and pace drops significantly.

Sahiti penned the Telugu dialogues which are well written and in good sync. GV Prakash Kumar provided good tunes for his prestigious 50th film. But the lyrics are totally out of sync. The back ground score is superb. George C Williams' Cinematography is excellent. The lighting used enhances the richness to the visuals. Editing by Ruben is fine. Action Sequences came out well and Production Values are good.

Police is an average fare. The love track is very lengthy and disturbs the proceedings. The good things when Vijay is seen as a DCP gets completed in a flash. Minor changes in the film would have worked out well.
