Krishna Vamsi has proved once again that he is now a mere shadow of a great director once he is with Nakshatram. Watch it only if you have no other plans this weekend.

Ramarao's (Sundeep Kishan) life ambition is to become a Sub-Inspector. With his weakness of not tolerating any insult to the department, he gets into a tussle with Rahul (Tanish), son of a Police Commissioner. Rahul obstructs his entry into department. Ramarao becomes a Fake Police who does real duty. But that dress with name plate Alexander lands him in a Bomb Blast Case. How did that happen? Who is Alexander? What happens next forms the remaining story.

Sundeep Kishan came up with an impressive performance as a mass youth. He seems to have improved in emotional sequences as well. Sai Dharam Tej is Good in the cameo role. Regina Cassandra is confined only for Skin Show while Pragya Jaiswal also got to do some stunts along with the glamour treat. Prakash Raj, JD Chakravarthy, Sivaji Raja and Brahmaji are good in whatever they are offered.

Nakshatram is a blend of Krishna Vamsi's favourite genres - Crime, Love, and Patriotism. But then there is no clarity or depth in the characters because of which the audience can not connect to the story. The first half literally has no story and when it begins in the second half, it is foiled by a bad screenplay. Even though, the pre-climax and climax portions are decent, they could not save the film.

Krishna Vamsi is disappointing as a script writer and director. Songs are average and are glamorously shot. Mani Sharma as always impressed with the background score. The camera work by Srikanth Naroj is Good while editing by Siva Y Prasad is disappointing. The Production Values are appropriate.

Finally, Krishna Vamsi has proved once again that he is now a mere shadow of a great director once he is with Nakshatram. Watch it only if you have no other plans this weekend.
