Godha Synopsis

‘Godha’ directed by Basil Joseph is a rustic tale based on traditional wrestling. It is a musical sports comedy set in “godhas” (wrestling rings), primarily in Kerala and Punjab.

The story and screenplay are by Rakesh Mantodi. ‘Godha’ is essentially the tale of a place called Kannadikkal, where wrestling is the favoured sport. Renji Panicker plays Captain Phayalvan, the greatest wrestler in Kannadikkal. Tovino Thomas does Anjaneya Das, son of Captain. Wamiqa Gabbi does the role of Aditi Singh, a female wrestler.

Vishnu Sarma wields camera for the film and Shaan Rahman is the music director. ‘Godha’ is produced by Mukesh R Mehta, C V Sarathi and A V Anoop under the banner of E 4 Entertainment in association with AVA Productions.
