Jaguar Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2016 | UA | Fantasy
Critics:
Jaguar is a decent product sans the hero. But then, the audience sitting before the big screen will find to ignore that one factor which lingers on screen in every scene. The movie may go well with mass audience to some extent. But then they can not even bring back even a quarter of that 75 Crore spent on this film.

SS Krishna (Nikhil Kumar Gowda) is a medical student in the day and turns a masked vigilante called Jaguar in the night. Behind the mask, he makes the murders of some high profile people in the Medical Business. To nab him, CBI Officer (Jagapathi Babu) is unleashed on him. What is the reason behind these murders and What finally happens in the story is the rest of the film all about.

Nikhil Gowda, the new comer has come up with a terrible performance in the film. Some of the good scenes are even killed by his stone face with no expressions. But then there is a gush of energy in him which indicates that he has the intent at least. His dances are good while the efforts in action sequence are great. Deepti Sati is okay but has nothing to do in the film. Sampath Raj is good as a media baron while Rao Ramesh makes an impact. Ramya Krishna comes with a good performance but is only confined to one scene. Brahmi as alright while Tamannah adds the much needed oomph in that special song.

Vijayendra Prasad has given a very routine story for the film while the screenplay is effective even though the story runs on predictable lines. Mahadev could have easily delivered a better product with a hero who can put in a decent performance. The Jaguar plot in the film works but the rest of the tracks weaved around it are not so effective. The first half of the film is average with an okay interval. The second half starts off well but loses momentum immediately with too much of stress on comedy. Things get better in the climax.

Thaman has come up with an average album. But then all songs are very well canned. Background score by Chinna is alright. Editing is okay in parts while camera work by Manoj Parmahamsa worked well in action sequences and chases. Dialogues are good in parts while the production values are excellent.
