Bethaludu is an average fare with some very gripping moments. It has a very engaging first half. But second half and cliched climax spoil the drama. Penultimate scenes do not gel with the main theme. You can give it a try just for a time pass watch especially if you are tired of the regular masala entertainers.

Dinesh (Vijay Antony) is a pioneer computer professional who is a master in trouble shooting all the big data and algorithmic challenges handled by his compay and he is the one to lean on for his boss, Anand Mahendroo. Dinesh is married to Aishwaya (Arundathi Nayar). But then Dinesh starts hearing another voice in his head which leads to some strange experiences. What is that all about? How Dinesh manages to combat this unfamiliar foe and the problems that occur later.

Vijay Anthony is convincing in a double shaded role. He camw up with stunning emotions and is just terrific as the man who gets mentally disturbed. Arundathi Nair is riveting as the female lead in the film. She is just amazing in a strong role.

Bethaludu has got a new story and the way how Vijay Anthony and his past are handled is very good. The innovative and interesting narration helps the first half to be super gripping as the suspense is maintained. But then when the suspense is revealed after the first fifteen minutes of the second half, things go wayward. The film loses its steam and becomes slow. The movie gives an impression of a horror film but will disappoint the audience. Further disappointment is the climax which is dragged unnecessarilly.

Director Pradeep has done a decent job. The screenplay worked well but then the second half is a big letdown. Production Values are top notch and the locations chose and the old village setup in the first half is very effective. Vijay Anthony's music is okay but then the background score is terrific. The cinematography and the dialogues are neat.

Finally, Bethaludu is an average fare with some very gripping moments. It has a very engaging first half. But second half and cliched climax spoil the drama. Penultimate scenes do not gel with the main theme. You can give it a try just for a time pass watch especially if you are tired of the regular masala entertainers.
