Manyam Puli Telugu Movie
Kumar (Mohan Lal) is the lone saviour of a village which falls under a dense and deadly man-eating tiger area. Kumar often saves the village fighting with the tiger with his deadly skills. Kumar works as a Lorry Driver but unexpectedly gets trapped in a drugs case which leaves the village to the mercy of the Tiger. What happens to the village next? Will Kumar comeback? forms the rest of the story.
Director Vysakh used the strengths of Mohan Lal to a great extent. Particularly the action sequences and thrills in the film are the biggest highlights. Three fights between him and the tiger have come up very well. The background score during these fights is excellent. As always, Mohan Lal excelled in the role which was designed to suit his age. Kamalini Mukherjee is decent while Jagapathi Babu is a good fit but then was put in a poorly written role. Namitha's role looks outright silly and cheap The first half of the film is decent and goes on with a good pace. But then as the story moves to City from the forest, things become routine and boring. The movie can be chopped off by some 15 minutes which may have helped the film.
The
Manyam Puli worked in Malayalam because there are too many fanboy moments for Mohan Lal fans. But for Telugu audience, it is an okay watch for some amazing thrills here and there. Give it a try, if you are okay with that and is ready to bear the rest of the routine drama which lacks nativity.
