Jai Lava Kusa Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2017 | UA | Action, Comedy
Critics:
Jai Lava Kusa is a decent film which banks heavily on the strengths of NTR. It will be a treat to see the actor in a full flow in three different characters. It will be a one-time watch for the common audience.

Jai, Lava, Kusa (All Played by NTR) are Triplet Brothers. Jai has a stammering Problem and suffers from insecurity as a result. Lava and Kusa also see him indifferently. The insecuredness turned into hatredness as they get separated. Lava becomes a banker, Kusa becomes a robber while Jai is keen on making it big in politics. Rest of the story is all about - How they meet? What changes that come in their life?

The film is totally a one man show by NTR. He is seen almost in every frame in the film and carried the film on his shoulders. He is menacing as Jai and jovial as Kusa. The innocence in Lava character is a treat for fans. He is good as always in the dances. Rashi Khanna is glamorous while Niveda is seen in a crucial role. But both of their screen presence is less.

Director Bobby depended totally on NTR's aura for the film. He excelled in every department. There is no exaggeration is saying that no other actor can do the film if not NTR. The first 15 minutes reveal the actual story and Jai enters only at the Interval Bang. The first half is entertaining. The story and narration slows down in the second half. Kusa comedy entertains in the second half as well. The emotional climax and Jai's character in that are good. The biggest disappointment is that the story runs on predictable lines till the end.

Bobby and Kona Venkat succeeded only in designing the characters of NTR. They should have worked properly on the story and narration. Bobby's direction is average. Chota K Naidu's camera work is good while Devi Sri Prasad's background score is the highlight. Songs are not to the level of expectations. Editing is okay. Production Values are average.

Finally, Jai Lava Kusa is a decent film which banks heavily on the strengths of NTR. It will be a treat to see the actor in a full flow in three different characters. It will be a one-time watch for the common audience.
