Maa Abbayi Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2017
Critics:
Maa Abbayi has got a misleading title which gives a wrong impression about the story. Further, the outdated story with illogical scenes and routine narration killed it completely. Only the heroine's glamour and grand camera work are the salable points. Maa Abbayi is a disappointing film for Sri Vishnu.

Sree Vishnu is the elder son of the family consisting of father, mother, and sister. His sister's marriage gets fixed and the family goes for shopping. There they are hit by a sudden bomb blast which leaves Sree Vishnu as an orphan after all his family members lose their lives. The rest of the story is about Sree Vishnu chasing the mystery behind the bomb blast and taking revenge on those involved.

Sree Vishnu tried an energetic role in the film and tried to imitate Raviteja. It looked awkward and the audience can not connect to that role after seeing him perform subtle all these days. His dialogue delivery improved a bit but then he has to work a lot on his acting and expressions. Chitra Shukla, the newcomer looked great and scorched the screen. But there is very little scope for performance. Rest of the actors are okay.

The story is very much routine and boring. Adding to that the screenplay is very ordinary and the dialogues are forced. Kumar Vatti, the director of the film failed miserably even the producer invested more than Sri Vishnu's market. From the start to the end, the movie has nothing exciting. The pre-climax showed a bit of promise but climax again is spoiled.

The Music scored by Suresh Bobbili failed to impress. Songs are badly composed and wrongly placed. The background score is just okay. Camera work by Thama Shyam is very good and the only positive aspect of the film. Marthand K Venkatesh, the senior editor could have used his scissors well. The Production Values are rich.

Skip it!
