Gopalam (Sumanth Ashwin) is a tailor in a village who is keen on becoming a Fashion Designer. Gopalam tries to trap a rich girl to fund that but two other rich girls - Ammulu (Manali Rathod) and an NRI (Anisha Ambrose) also enters the scene and it turns to be a triangular romance. What is in store for him between the three girls and his high ambitions is the rest.

Sumanth Ashwin managed okay grade in the role of a village tailor at some places but went overboard in many scenes. Pandu who played the assistant of Gopalam is decent as well. The three heroines - Anisha Ambrose, Manali Rathod, and Manasa are mostly confined to limited roles and they are fine. There are some sidekick girls who are present to woo the masses.

Fashion Designer is a typical Vamsi film with Godavari feel written all over it along with slapstick comedy. But we get a feel that we are seeing a film of late 90s which worked in those days but to audience these days, the film is too loud and irritating. Vamsi missed the trick completely. Even the masses do not enjoy Vulgar Comedy these days.

Vamsi is no longer that great director we admire or at least times have changed. There is some mark of Vamsi in dialogues and Godavari ambiance but nothing more than that. The screenplay is also disappointing. Nagesh Banell's camera work is good while Mani Sharma's music is decent with background score being good. Editing is just fine and the production values are appropriate.

Finally, Fashion Designer S/o Ladies Tailor ends up as a big disappointment to those who waited all these days. It also has a lesson 'Classics Should Not be Touched'.
