Family-action drama 'Maradona' has revenge, romance and repentance except the essence to generate the required punch and thrill. This mediocre hide-and-seek game is full of familiar filmic components. Moreover, the director fails to revive the initial hype he creates, resulting in the sloppy conclusion of the tale.

Maradona isn’t mere stylization. It shows its title character in his worst phase and better phase with sincerity and that’s what makes it an engaging and original content.

Maradona is a potboiler with little cinematic value, meant solely for the fans of Tovino. Tovino's presence is the only factor which makes the spectators sit through the movie. Like any action thriller, this one also has a story for name sake and it would be futile searching for conviction. Why should one waste one's time and money watching such trash?
