Vivekam Telugu Movie
Ajay Kumar alias AK (Ajith) is an Indian Secret agent deployed in Europe to handle some tough anti-Terror Operations. One day, he and his team is given a case which involves several top level international criminals. When AK is on the verge of closing the case with an important clue, he is suddenly shot and framed as a terrorist. What happened in this Operation? Is AK Really a Culprit? What happens next in the story forms the rest.
Ajith has carried the role effortlessly on his shoulders. His amazing screen presence made a huge difference for the character and the film. Kajal Agarwal has got a not so significant role like all the heroines in a commercial film. Akshara Hassan has got a disappointing role without any substance. Vivek Oberoi is okay as villain but that menacing touch is missing. Sarath Saxena is wasted and Karuna came up with alright comedy.
Director Siva had collected a bunch of Spy movies from Hollywood and made a mashup of them. He picked up all the action blocks and combined it with loud background score which will only irk the audience. Even the action is also missing in the second half and there is no logic at all. The climax is stretched further which disappoints the audience.
Siva who handled the direction disappointed with his story and screenplay as well. Anirudh's background score is too loud. The Telugu dubbing sounds okay. The camera work and art work are top class and grand production values helped them further. Editing especially in fights is disappointing.
Finally, Vivekam has disappointed. The good things about the film are Ajith's Amazing Screen presence and some good action blocks here and there. Tamil Audience probably Ajith fans may enjoy it while it will be a tedious watch for Telugu audience.
