'Ranam' is a decent action drama with strong technical qualities. The visual brilliances give the movie a new layer of embellishment covering up an uneventful gang war story. It is inconsistent in parts, but the craft and the premise hold it with good performances from the lead actors Prithviraj and Rahman.
