PLOT:

Small town wedding where the boy and the girl love one another is interrupted when the girl realises that her in-laws won’t let her work, and she has just aced the prestigious government civil services exams. The groom suffers a loss of face, and he gets to avenge the insult when he shows up as the District Magistrate and presides over an investigation where she’s accused of corruption. Does love win? Or does revenge turns out to be sweeter?

Films based in small Northern towns that deal with dowry and squashed ambitions of daughters are a trope done to death. Along comes another with Rajkummar Rao as hero. Just because he's had a spate of successes, does not mean he will carry this shaadi ka dead horse alone on his shoulders.

The film is based on north indian orthodox society. Rajkumar Rao plays his role well. And also the heroine Krithi. But the film's plot is a bit week and drags in few parts. The scenes are bit too noisy too. Overall the film is not too boring and a good timepass watch!
