Okka Kshanam Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2017 | UA | Thriller
Critics:
Okka Kshanam is a concept based thriller with some interesting moments here and there. It is not up to the mark to the expectations set by VI Anand due to the slow pace and a routine climax. At most a one time watch.

Jeeva (Allu Sirish) and Jyo (Surabi) are in neck deep love. When they are gearing up for marriage, they come across a couple Srinivas (Avasarala Srinivas) and Swathi (Seerat Kapoor) are being troubled in their marriage. To their utter dismay, they find out that whatever is happening in the couple's life is getting repeated in their lives as well.

Allu Sirish performs decently as the boy next door but failed miserably when it comes to emotional sequences. In many scenes, he looked like imitating his brother, Allu Arjun. Surabhi is impressive on acting and glamour front as well. Avasarala Srinivas and Seerat Kapoor have got crucial roles and they are okay to the extent of their characters. Praveen and Satya's comedy evokes a few laughs here and there. Dasari Arun is seen as a villain in a cameo role.

VI Anand has taken Parallel Life concept for this film. He narrated it without any confusion. The screenplay is interesting. However, it lacks the pace needed. The film starts slow but turns interesting just before the interval. The second half is also good for the first 30 minutes or so. But then, the pre-climax and climax are disappointing.

Except for the mass song towards the end, Mani Sharma disappointed with the songs. Background score is terrific at some places. Editing could have been better in the second half. Camera work is good and Production Values are appropriate.

Finally, Okka Kshanam is a concept based thriller with some interesting moments here and there. It is not up to the mark to the expectations set by VI Anand due to the slow pace and a routine climax. At most a one time watch.
