Karthik (Sumanth) and Anjali (Aakanksha Singh) live in a village of East Godavari and fall in love in their childhood. They get separated as Anjali's parents go to Mumbai. Later, Anjali comes as a Project Manager in the IT Company Karthik is working. They decide to get married but as they reach the registration office for the marriage, Anjali refuses to marry Karthik. What is the reason? How do they meet again? Will they get married? forms the rest of the story.

This is Sumanth's career best performance and Akanksha Singh made a stunning debut. The chemistry between them breathed life into the film. The children who played their childhood roles are also impressive. Mirchi Kiran as Project Manager and other friends are hilarious.

The

story runs in three timelines 1999, 2012, and 2017. The comedy component in the film worked out big time and the director ensured that the things are kept realistic without any melodrama or forced scenes. The biggest drawback is that it is stretched too much making the film too slow and dull. Director Gowtham should be admired for effectively handling a complex screenplay without any confusion. Dialogues are well written. Shravan Bhardwaj's music and Satish's camera work elevates the mood of the film. Production Values are good.

Finally, Malli Raava is a subtle love story with some beautiful moments throughout the film. Ignore the slow pace, Malli Raava will end up as a good watch this weekend.
