Saptagiri LLB Telugu Movie

Feature Film | 2017
Critics:
Saptagiri LLB is a half-hearted remake of the cult Hindi film Jolly LLB. It is at best a one time watch only due to the interesting sequence towards the end of the film.

Saptagiri (Saptagiri) is a small-time lawyer who comes to Hyderabad to emerge as a big advocate. In his bid to become famous, he take on Raj Pal (Sai Kumar), a top lawyer of the country in a hit and run case. Rest of the story is all about the problems faced a small-time lawyer like Saptagiri go through to win the case.

Saptagiri did a decent job but then things have gone overboard with lengthy dialogues and dance moves to showcase him as a mass hero. Sai Kumar does a pretty impressive job and is asset to the film in the negative character. Kashish Vohra, the heroine is totally insignificant to the movie and is very ordinary.

The first half of the film is dodgy with too many cinematic liberties taken to show how Saptagiri gets involved in the case and challenges Sai Kumar. It would have been nice if Saptagiri's character is shown as plain-hearted. The second half particularly the last 40 minutes or so is quite crucial and in biggest asset to the film. The way the court case is fought between the two lawyers has been showcased in a very interesting note.

Director Charan does a below average job with the remake of Jolly LLB. He wastes a lot of time in establishing the point and at the same time stuff the movie with unnecessary mass elements which makes it a disappointing remake. The camera work is captivating and so was the background score. Songs are totally misplaced. Production Values are good.

Finally, Saptagiri LLB is a half-hearted remake of the cult Hindi film Jolly LLB. It is at best a one time watch only due to the interesting sequence towards the end of the film.
