Gang Telugu Movie
Uttam Das (Suriya) aspires to become a CBI Officer but the corrupt system does not help him. Upset over it, Uttam Das forms his own gang and conduct fake CBI raids on the rich. After some such rides, a CBI officer (Senior Karthik) was appointed to nab the Gang. The rest is all about how the Gang pulls of a big heist even though the CBI is after them.
Suriya is brilliant and pulls off the energetic character with ease. He dubbed himself for the film but somehow, it did not sound well. Ramya Krishnan is amazing with her screen presence. Keerthy Suresh's character does not have much meat. Senior Karthik is very good.
Vignesh Shivan had adapted 'Special 26' making due changes to suit the sensibilities of the Tamil Audience. It was coated with romance and mass elements while the Bollywood version is straight to the point. Thaman's songs are ordinary while the Background Score is Good. The camera work is also good while the editing is adequate. Production Values are Grand.
Finally, The first half is good but the second half is dragged especially with the not-so-impressive romance. But the Pre-Climax Twist is impressive and the film ends well making Gang a watchable film.
