NTR Kathanayakudu Telugu Movie Review

Jan 9, 2019 By NR

NTR is all about the rise of NTR (Balakrishna) in Telugu Film Industry and Reasons leading towards his political entry narrated by his wife Basavatarakam (Vidya Balan).

No one can come close to look like NTR or act like him. But if there is someone, it has to be Balakrishna. He proves to be an almost perfect fit especially in the role of Older NTR. He walked through some well-known episodes of multiple Blockbusters with tremendous ease. Vidya Balan is good and adds class and grace to Basavatarakam. Sumanth is very good as ANR. Kalyanram as Harikrishna also got a notable run time on screen and is good too.

It is a difficult job for Krish to narrate a well-known story interestingly. He did a decent job on that front but should have taken care of the runtime which is excruciatingly long. MM Keeravani's music is good and the background score is superb. Gnanasekhar's camera work is authentic. Editing could have been better at places. The Production Values are excellent.

NTR Kathanayakudu is a showcase of NTR's rise in the film industry and also about his little-known family life. With utmost care, Krish made it an Emotional and Entertaining film which can be watched with your entire family. It is a treat for fans to watch NTR's various Historical/Devotional avatars and his love for people. For the normal audience, it is probably a little too long and is dragged at times. But then, it is still a good watch.
