Howrah Bridge Telugu Movie
Arjun (Rahul Ravindran) is a jovial engineer working in Kolkata whose heart lingers around his Childhood darling, Sweety (Chandini Chowdary). He goes to the village only to find that Sweety is going to be engaged to her brother-in-law (Ajay). After a lot of trials, he manages to woos her and Sweety convinces her brother-in-law to break the marriage. When things look bright, Arjun comes to know that the original Sweety (Manali Rathod) is living in the city and he goes for her leaving a video message to Village Sweety. What happens next in their lives form the next.
Rahul Ravindran is at ease in the role of a lover boy and shares good chemistry with Chandini Chowdary. The actress is beautiful and performs well in the emotional scenes. Manali Rathod is okay while Rao Ramesh is excellent as a villain. Ajay is okay in a little role. Posani and Madhu does some silly comedy.
Howrah Bridge has a pretty decent story on paper but the director Rewon Yaadhu failed to make use of it with a horrendous screenplay and faltered execution. The love between the lead pair is not well established as a result audience do not connect to the story. Despite getting a good cast, he fails to establish the depth in those characters.
Sekhar Chandra's songs are not impressive while the background score is pretty decent. Dialogues are okay here and there. Vijay Mishra's camera work is average and editing is hugely disappointing in the second half. Production Values are disappointing.
Finally, Howrah Bridge is a decent story gone waste. The first half is decent with a good twist but the second half is a complete mess with the climax being over the top.
