Oh Baby Telugu Movie
Based on a Korean movie "Miss Granny", this fantasy engager is about a worn out 70-year-old woman turning into 24-year-old look through a dream photograph and the change in life, it brings out to her.
Lakshmi as 70-year-old Baby (character name) and Samantha as 24-year-old transformed Baby bowl over with their elegant act and bring in real life to the characterization.
Samantha had indeed delivered a best of her career performance (as of date), with her ebullient and flamboyant performance as 24-year-old transformed Baby, with body language, dialect modulations, and mannerism still being of 70 years old... just perfect and scores a double ton vibrantly!
Samantha's acting tone is vivacious throughout and the efficacy is KNOCK-DEAD! With her younger looks and a 70-year-old lady inside the soul.... her interactions with her son, grandson, friend and love interests have been well expressed and brought out!
Samantha as young looking Baby, getting excited seeing her 50+-year-old son in a sequence... a sample of her detailing for the role.
The love interests of Naga Shaurya over Samantha sequences were easily predictable, but the expressions of Samantha were too good to watch.
There's more left to be delivered by Lakshmi... and proves again age is just a number! She embodies and makes one empathize her character.
Rajendra Prasad as a friend of Lakshmi and Rao Ramesh as her son beholds amongst other casts.
Mickey J Meyer's music is groovy and makes it tap!
Jagapathi Babu as God and Naga Chaitanya as a younger looking friend of Lakshmi appears on a cameo.
Director Nandhini Reddy's narration keeps it as an engaging watch, without losing much into a melodramatic way. She had leveraged Samantha's charm to the best in all frames and succeeded!
One would wish this fantasy happens in real, watching this charismatic entertainer! It's a reasonably well-made movie, given the genre.
