Much to the delight of Suresh Gopi and Shobana fans, both stars return as a duo after a very long gap, capturing the audience with their on-screen romance and making the viewers realize how much both stars were very much missed. Varane Avashyamund is your typical family drama combined with specks of comedy and romance throughout. A predictable film, Director Anoop Sathyan can be praised for his efforts in his debut. However, the film lacked a thickness to it; a lack of a core plot, despite the great performances from our favorite stars including Dulquer Salmaan, as well as a stunning performance by newcomer Kalyani Priyadarshan. Supporting actors Lalu Alex, Siju Wilson and KPAC Lalitha were also stellar in their respective roles, as usual. Choreography and music captured a vivid and colorful background that added to the good-feel of the movie. If you are looking for a down-to-earth, relaxed family entertainer, then Varane Avashymund will do the job.
