After 'Thiruda Thirudi', which was a massive hit, director Subramania Siva's next venture is 'Pori' (meaning Spark) produced by Sambandhan Karthi of Nivi-Pavi Creations. The movie is packaged with romance, action, dance, celebrations, smiles and tears according to Subramania Siva. Amidst all this, there is also a message that 'a good man never gets defeated and a man who is defeated could not be a good man.' No one is free of problems in life. The hero (Jeeva) runs 'Periyar Bookshop' in Bharathiyar Street at Triplicane, Chennai. Though he minds his business with all seriousness, he unwittingly gets entangled in a problem which hits him like a storm. How he faces the problem and comes out of it is portrayed with 'sparks' flying. Sources said the movie has all the ingredients as prescribed in the 'Rajini formula.' Pooja, who plays opposite Jeeva, works as a TV anchor. Seeman plays a Singapore industrialist. Gaana Ulaganathan appears as a henchman of a politician and owner of a shop selling locks. Karunas provides comedy. One of the songs set to music by Dhina (Vedalam Murungamaram Aeridichi Vetka Devathaiyum Kooda Vandu Adiduchi), which was filmed at the ancient Golconda Fort (Hyderabad), may turn out to be a hit. 'Manmatharaja'-fame Shivashankar choreographed this Jeeva-Pooja dance scene. There is also a dance by Daisy, an assistant to Hindi dance master Acharya. The audio release function was just held with great fanfare. The film is expected to be release soon.
