Satya (Vishal), who is a student studying in a city college, goes to the village, Erasakkanayanoor, 20 km from Theni ,to work as a research assistant to Professor Elanko (Raghuvaran). Their topic for research is ancient folklore of Tamil Nadu.


As Satya is working on the project with Elanko, the professor's daughter (Mamta Mohandas) observes Satya from close quarters and starts liking him. She eventually falls in love with him. But Satya is not ready as he has a mission to accomplish. Whether he would succeed in his mission forms the rest of the story.


It is a fast-paced movie based on a social issue. There is no villain. It is the situation that creates an undercurrent of tension in the story.


The film has been cleared by the Censor Board after some cuts and issued "U" certificate.
