2007 films had a trend of narrating multiple stories and triangle love story. The production house of Subhash Ghai breaks this trend and presents a campus film- 'GOOD BOY BAD BOY'. The movie is a light hearted comedy centered on two characters, as the title of the movie suggests, one is a good boy and the other is a bad boy.

Rajan Malhotra [Tusshar Kapoor] is an exemplary good boy studying in a college. Books are his world. His only aim is to be the best when it comes to education. Devoid of all the fun in life that's a part and parcel of campus deal; his only moments of fun are when he is absorbed in studies. His lack of interest in anything that is related to sports or other extracurricular activities worries his parents. To describe in very few words -A complete bookworm!

It's obviously clear that the bad boy out here in the college, Raju Malhotra [Emraan Hashmi] who is a complete opposite. He is a happy-go-lucky person and fun is life for him. He aims to be the most popular and best prankster of the college. Studying is more like a hobby to him, and his moments of fun is when he is out with his friends enjoying life. His lack of interest in anything about studies worries his dad. To describe in a few words - A complete prankster!

Principal [Paresh Rawal] intends at bringing reforms in the college through his indigenous ways. He comes with novel means to ensure discipline in the campus.

Landing up in the same college the life of Raju and Rajan gets swapped due to some misfiling in the college. Both get stuck in complete opposite group and the fun begins here.

Then in their lives enter a 'bad girl' [Tanushree Dutta] and a 'good girl' [Isha Sharvani] respectively. And with them, the lives were never the same again for Rajan and Raju!

Unfortunately, the movie isn't anything that the title claims to be. The movie evokes no emotions and is completely a dull fare. The concept had wonderful scale to entertain and the movie fails to do justice to its genre. The screenplay is so dull and unexciting that except for a few laughs in a scene or two, there is nothing crafty about the movie and definitely is neither amusing nor entertaining. The music is also not happening.

Ashwini Choudhary is known for his sensitive films, expecting a great execution of comic movie from such a person is pointless. Cinematography [Manoj Soni] too lacks the focus and sheen. Dialogues are funny at places but are not impressive.

Emraan has a flair for comedy and that is noticed on the screen. He is quite agreeable. Tusshar is pleasing, but the writer could've offered him better scenes. Isha Sharvani wears a set of two expressions through out the movie. Tanushree Dutta gives a poor performance. Paresh Rawal is a disappointment. Kabir Sadanand is expressive. Sushmita Mukherjee is wasted.

On the whole, GOOD BOY BAD BOY fails the exam and is absolutely disappointing.
