Dus Kahaniyaan is a unique movie. 6 directors, 25 actors, 4 music directors and 10 stories for a two hour long movie. Each story is between 12 to 15 minutes long, has a twist for every tale which takes the viewer by surprise.

Matrimony - Cast: Mandira Bedi, Arbaaz Khan and Sudhanshu Pandey

The world believes Mandira Bedi and Arbaaz Khan are happily married people. But Mandira has a secret; she has a lover, who she meets on Thursdays. Her husband too is no better; he too is in an extra marital relationship. How Mandira finds out forms the 1st story of movie.

The first episode takes the viewers by surprise. The story is good and directed well. Both Mandira Bedi and Arbaaz Khan Act well and look great.

High on the Highway - Cast: Jimmy Shergill, Masumeh

Jimmy and Masumeh are madly in love with each other. They strangely walk on highways and are always high on alcohol.

The story is confusing and weird. The performances are decent.

Pooranmashi Cast: Amrita Singh, Minisha Lamba, Parmeet Sethi and Vishwajeet Pradhan.

Inspired by Kartar Singh Duggal's short story, Pooranmashi is about a mother and her daughters' unconditional love. The daughter sacrifices her life for her mother.

Gripping and emotional tale directed well by Meghna Gulzar. Amrita Singh is fantastic.

Strangers in the Night Cast: Neha Dhupia and Mahesh Manjrekar.

For every anniversary Neha Dhupia and Mahesh Manjrekar share a secret. This years its Neha's turn. The story is difficult to digest and doesn't make any impact on the viewer. The story doesn't demand any histrionics in the acting department from Neha and Mahesh.

Zahir - Cast: Manoj Bajpai, Dia Mirza

Dia Mirza is Manoj Bajpai's girl-next-door. She shares a good friendship with him but he mistakes it for love. Great tale well directed and acted. The end takes you by surprise. Dia Mirza look-wise is at her best ever. Manoj Bajpai is great.

Love Dale - Cast: Anupam Kher, Aftab Shivdasani, Neha Oberoi

A woman on a train lends Neha Oberoi earrings which changes her life and helps her get her life partner. Love Dale is about destiny. Performances by Aftab and Neha are good. The story is strange, hard to digest and isn't up to the mark.

Gubbare - Cast: Anita Hasnandani, Nana Patekar and Rohit Roy

Anita has just had a silly fight with her husband. She takes a seat next to a man carrying a set of balloons. The story behind the balloons forms the rest of the story.

This is the best story in the movie. Nana Patekar in a different avatar of a normal middle class man is brilliant. Anita and Rohit Roy have nothing much to do.

Sex on the Beach - Cast: Dino Morea and Tareena Patel

Sex on the beach is a story of lust. Dino finds a book on a beach and signs on it. A hot woman emerges from the sea and seduces him to death. The worst story in the movie. The performances are below average.

Rice Plate - Cast: Shabana Azmi and Naseeruddin Shah

Rice plate is about a Hindu woman, who is against the Muslim community. One encounter with a Muslim man changes her live long strong beliefs. It is a brilliant tale, absolutely mind-blowing performance by Shabana Azmi. The story is gripping, engrossing and emotional.

Rise and Fall - Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty

A dark tale of two childhood friends cum gangsters. Rise and Fall is about betrayal between two childhood friends. The last tale in the movie isn't up to the mark. The story doesn't make impact, the performances are average.

Overall, Dus Kahaniyaan is worth a watch in theatre. It's a unique way of story telling. 5 stories are good with brilliant twists and turns. You get to see 10 stories for the price of 1 ticket. Go for it!
