One major plus point of 'Thamaashegaagi' is that it is based on a original script and it is a clean film. You can watch the film with your entire family without any embarrassment. But seeing the film you would certainly feel that the film could have been made a little better with a tighter script and some fresh narration.

There are many films made in Kannada, which are made in the background of infidelity of the husbands and their attempts to hook younger girls. Successful films like 'Kothigalu Saar Kothigalu' directed by S.V.Rajendra Singh Babu had the same story thread, which was well narrated on the screen. Though 'Thamaashegaagi' has the same story line, it lacks the comical punch seen in many previous successful films dealing with husband's infidelity. But yet the film cannot be dismissed either as it is certainly above the mark as for as performances of artists are concerned. And you have a pool of talented comedy artists like Anirudhdh, Komal and Mohan working for this film who have carried the film on their shoulders.

Mohan (Mohan) and Rajesh (Rajesh) are good friends who are both married and enjoying a good family life. But they have this crush for young girls, which make them to try all attempts to hook them. They tell lies to their wives who get suspicious. But the intelligent and suspect filled wives decide to engage two spies Anil (Anirudhdh) and Shivu (Komal) to unravel the mystery behind the escapades of their husbands. What happens later forms the rest of the film.

Anirudhdh has proved that he is a fine actor and it is time our industry recognizes this young actor for what he is. Mohan and Komal are exceptionally good in second half. Sudharani comes out on top throughout the film. But somehow Rekha is just ordinary.

'Thamaashegaagi' lacks the technical finesse required for such films. The cinematography is below average and Patnayak's music compositions are just O.K.

Yet, the film is watchable for its clean narration and good acting from main artists.
