Chop off a few songs and about 20 minutes, De Taali would have been a much better watch. Average.

De Taali, directed by E Niwas (Dum, My Name is Anthony Gonsalves) is a comedy featuring Ritesh Deshmukh, Aftab Shivdasani, Ayesha Takia and Rimii Sen. Does De Taali deserve Taali's? Lets find out.

Paglu, Amu & Abhi live the lives of each other. They drink, eat & sleep together. Sleep? Don't take it otherwise though. But they are certainly an integral part of each other's lives.

Amu is a girl amongst the two guys, though Paglu & Abhi don't treat her like one. Paglu is the one who makes her realize about her feelings and helps her get her love. And Abhi is the rich, kind and classy guy who falls in love every time he meets a weird girl. Life however takes a serious fun turn when one of them falls in love with the other. And the one is sadly in love with some one else all together.

Fun-Filled and Love-Filled moments collide. Friendships break to turn into love. Or not? De Taali captures Friendship in its most real form. You are bound to realize how true this actually is.

First of all De Taali isn't an out-n-out comedy, its more about friendship and love. The movie starts off rather slowly but picks up. The first half is entertaining. A few dialogues are hilarious, brilliantly performed too. The second half though, disappoints big time. The direction by E Niwas is decent, but it's the obscure plot that lets him down. The movie also has too many songs and is just too long. Also drags unnecessarily in the later half. The movie is visually stunning. Dialogues are good. Music is average.

Performances are brilliant in De Taali. Ritesh Deshmukh delivers a wonderful performance, is superb with his comic timing. Aftab Shivdasani is as good as ever. Ayesha Takia has a lot of potential and she delivers, its a very sweet and heart warming performance. Rimii Sen too does well. For a change, unlike most comedies, De Taali provides scope for the female actors to shine.

Overall, chop off a few songs and about 20 minutes, De Taali would have been a much better watch. Average.
